Fairfield Showground Community and Events Centre

A community and events centre within the 30-hectare Fairfield Showground precinct in Prairiewood. Approved under the SSDA process in April 2026, the single-storey facility has a gross floor area of approximatley 4,700 square metres. ​

The centre features a 3,000-seat exhibition and performance hall with main stage, a foyer for receptions, multipurpose indoor spaces accommodating four sports courts, function rooms, and an outdoor courtyard with covered forecourt. Sports uses include basketball, futsal, volleyball, gymnastics, and hockey.​

Birzulis is providing structural and civil engineering services. The site presented challenges including flood, biodiversity and traffic constraints, addressed through coordination with an extensive consultant team.
