Fire and Rescue – Pyrmont Fire Station
This heritage-listed Pyrmont Fire Station needed more space for modern operations while keeping its historic character intact. The solution added three storeys of office space that blend seamlessly with the original building. The engineering work included upgrading the structure to meet post-disaster building standards – ensuring firefighters have a safe base to operate from during emergencies. The project’s success in balancing heritage preservation with functional needs earned recognition at the UDIA NSW Awards for Excellence in urban renewal.
